Crushed angular stone and recycled road bases pack tight under vehicle weight to prevent shifting and rutting. Round rock (like river stone) shifts under tires, making packed crushed gravel or crushed base options ideal for driveways.
Clean rock has been washed or screened to remove small particles and dust, allowing water to drain freely through it (ideal for French drains, septic lines, or decorative beds). Aggregates with "fines" (stone dust) compact tightly together, creating a solid base for driveways, sheds, and patio pavers.
